Where a Miami charter actually goes
Most days start with a slow run past Star Island and Fisher Island, then out to the Nixon Sandbar off Key Biscayne where the water is waist-deep and the boats raft up. From there it's a short hop to Haulover for lunch, or south into Biscayne Bay if you want quiet. Sunset charters run the skyline north to south and back — the single best hour to be on the water in this city.
What a Miami charter costs
Our Miami yachts start around $4,300 for four hours on the 53' Galeon and run to roughly $6,100 for four hours aboard the 88' Princess. Those are whole-boat prices, not per person: split across twelve or thirteen guests, a flagship charter lands close to what a table costs at a South Beach club. Fuel, dockage at outside marinas and catering are quoted separately and confirmed in writing.
How many guests are allowed
Florida charter regulations cap uninspected charter vessels at twelve passengers plus crew, and we hold our Miami boats to thirteen guests aboard. If your group is larger, we run two yachts together — they anchor side by side at the sandbar and the day works as one party.
Booking and lead time
Weekends between December and April sell out weeks ahead, and Memorial Day, July 4th, Art Basel and Boat Show weekends go earlier than that. Midweek in summer we can often confirm same-day. A signed charter agreement and a deposit hold the date; the balance is due before departure.

Chartering in Miami
- How much is it to rent a yacht in Miami for a day?
- A four-hour private charter in Miami starts at about $4,300 for a 53-foot flybridge and rises to roughly $6,100 for our 88-foot Princess. Eight-hour days run from about $5,400 to $8,800. Prices are for the whole yacht including captain and crew.
- Do I need a captain?
- Yes. Every charter in our fleet is fully crewed with a licensed captain and, on the larger yachts, a deckhand and stewardess. There are no bareboat rentals.
- Can we bring our own food and alcohol?
- Yes on most yachts. You are welcome to bring food and drink aboard, and we can also arrange catering, a bartender, floral and cake service. Glass restrictions apply on some boats — we'll confirm when you book.
- What is the Nixon Sandbar?
- A shallow sandbar off Key Biscayne where Miami boats anchor in waist-deep water. It's the standard midday stop on nearly every Miami charter and the reason our yachts carry floating mats and paddleboards.
- What happens if the weather is bad?
- If the captain determines conditions are unsafe, we reschedule at no charge. Light rain generally doesn't cancel a charter — South Florida showers pass in twenty minutes.
