FAQ

Everything people ask before they book

How much does it cost to charter a yacht in South Florida?
Across our fleet, a four-hour private charter runs from about $2,500 for a 45-foot flybridge in Fort Lauderdale to roughly $14,000 for the 92-foot Horizon in Palm Beach. Eight-hour days range from about $3,600 to $17,300. Every rate is published on the yacht's own page — those are whole-boat prices with captain and crew included, not per-person fares.
How many people can come aboard?
Thirteen guests on every yacht in our fleet, in line with US Coast Guard limits for uninspected charter vessels. Crew are not counted in that number. Larger groups are handled by running two yachts together.
Is a captain included, or can I drive the boat myself?
A licensed captain is included on every charter, and larger yachts also carry a deckhand and stewardess. We do not offer bareboat rentals.
What is included in the rate?
The yacht, captain and crew, standard fuel for the itinerary on most boats, and whatever water toys that yacht carries — floats, paddleboards, snorkel gear, jet skis or a seabob depending on the vessel. Catering, alcohol, outside dockage, gratuity and Florida sales tax may be additional depending on the yacht; each yacht page states what applies and we confirm the total in writing before you book.
How much should I tip the crew?
Fifteen to twenty percent of the charter rate is customary in Florida and is shared among the crew. Several of our rates are already quoted gratuity-inclusive — the yacht page will say so.
Can we bring food and drinks?
On most yachts, yes. You can also have us arrange catering, a bartender, floral, cake or a photographer. Some vessels restrict glass or red wine — we'll tell you up front.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If the captain judges conditions unsafe, the charter is rescheduled at no cost to you. Passing rain does not usually cancel a day on the water in South Florida.
How far in advance should I book?
For weekends in the December-to-April high season, and for holiday weekends and boat show weeks, book several weeks out. Midweek and off-season dates can often be confirmed within a day.
Do you offer overnight or multi-day charters?
Yes, on the yachts with sufficient staterooms — principally the 92' Horizon and 112' Westport in Palm Beach and the 94' Lazzara in Fort Lauderdale. Bahamas and Key West itineraries are available with advance planning.
What is the cancellation policy?
Deposits are generally non-refundable inside the cancellation window, but we work with clients to reschedule wherever we can, and captain-initiated weather cancellations are always rescheduled or refunded. Full terms are on our refund and cancellation policy page.
